I design small-scale plantings for residential landscapes, working with homeowners to create functional and beautiful spaces. I emphasize many facets of ecological sustainability in my work—biodiversity, native plants, climate resilience, water conservation, wildlife habitat, materials sourcing, soil restoration, and more—while balancing them with the more “human” aspects of sustainability, such as lasting beauty and ease of maintenance, for designs that can gracefully adapt over time.
